A cool damp fog engulfed the skyline of NYC at 7am as I headed up 6th Avenue to meet Alexa and Josh in Central Park for their engagement session. As soon as I met them however, I realized that a little dreary weather and dense mist wouldn’t put a damper on our time together!
Alexa and Josh are that couple that you look at just KNOW that are a perfect match for each other. From the sweet way they treated each other to the loving way they reminisced about previous dates they went on together in Central Park, I could tell almost immediately how close of friends they really are.
Josh’s dad owns an apartment in Manhattan and he and Alexa have spent a lot of time in Central Park – Josh even considered proposing by the Bethesda fountain (before he remembered that Alexa hates crowds!). Central Park was the perfect choice for their engagement shoot considering they live in Florida but were in NYC for the holidays and I happened to be close by as well with my family. We started our sunrise session at the south end of the park and made our way north ending by Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. Alexa and Josh used to spend time sitting in the fountain when it was emptied during the winter, getting to know each other and dreaming about their future together so we made sure to recreate some moments from their earlier dates.
Alexa and Josh – I had so much fun getting to know you and can’t wait for your wedding this summer!
