Elissa + Neil | Woodmont Country Club Wedding | Washington D.C. Wedding Photographer

Two apologies need to start off this blog post. The first is for posting SO many first look photos from Elissa and Neil’s beautiful Woodmont Country Wedding. They had one of the sweetest first looks I’ve ever had the privilege of witnessing filled with happy tears and smiles. The way Neil wrapped Elissa up in his arms after he saw her just melted my heart and I couldn’t resist sharing more than just a few photos from one of my favorite parts of the wedding day!

The other apology is for the fuzziness of the vertical photos in my blog posts recently. I use a software to condense my images when I upload them to my site for faster loading and it’s been having some issues that I need to sort out on my end. So no, your eyes are not playing tricks on you and yes, I’m aware of the issue!

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into more of the wedding details! Elissa and Neil had a warm but perfect June day for their wedding at the Woodmont Country Club. Despite a 20 person bridal party everything went so smoothly and every single friend and family member Elissa and Neil had themselves surrounded with was a delight to work with. I am so grateful I have such sweet, down to earth clients who in turn have similar minded friends and family.

Elissa and Neil got ready at the Hilton before heading to Woodmont for their first look (best part of the whole day in my opinion!). Elissa and Neil met in college so have been together for several years and have endured job changes, a pharmacology program, being apart and cross-state moves. You can tell how much they care for and respect each other and that they’ve been through a lot together!

After the ceremony we were able to take more golden hour bride and groom portraits before heading to an awesome reception where Elissa and Neil brought down the house with some pretty stellar dance moves and the Hora.

Thank you Elissa and Neil for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day. You two are such kind and sweet souls and I hope we’ll stay in touch for many years to come!
