After photographing this stunning Laguna Gloria wedding, the riverside, Italian-villa inspired Austin wedding venue has quickly become one of my new favorites! Haein and Kyoung are both PhD/Grad students at UT Austin who tied the knot at a beautiful outdoor wedding at Laguna Gloria last month. Both of them had family fly all the way in from Korea for the ceremony and intimate, family-style al fresco dinner. The day was hot but magical with a ceremony under a stone rotunda tucked into the woods and an outdoor dinner for about 40 people underneath twinkle lights sandwiched between the Laguna Gloria mansion and the Colorado river.
The Peached Tortilla, one of my favorite Austin wedding caterers, outside themselves with a unique and delicious farm to table style menu that drew on Asian inspiration as a nod to Haein and Kyoung’s Korean heritage. Having lived in Korea for 8 years when I was younger it was so fun to meet their families from Korea and hear Korean again during their Korean/English ceremony.
Haein and Kyoung – I am so happy for you both and hope you had a wonderful time in Europe on your honeymoon!
