Lauren and Numan sure know how to throw a party! I met this lively and spirited couple about a year ago for their Fell’s Point engagement session and immediately felt like I could be friends with them. Their laid-back and easy going nature combined with their kindness and desire to keep things unique and personal made their wedding 100% one-of-a-kind and so. much. fun!
The subtle theme Lauren was going for was Old Hollywood and her side-up do with little curls, black bridesmaid dresses, jewelry and out of the box ceremony music choices tied everything together. Lauren and Numan tied the knot at an outdoor Star-Spangled Banner House wedding officiated by Lauren’s uncle. Speaking of unique, this venue is probably one of the most out of the box ones I’ve photographed at in a while. Their ceremony was held on the lawn in front of the larger than life glass flag. Cocktail hour was on the first floor of the museum and the reception was held at a gorgeous empty space upstairs that the couple transformed into an elegant dining and dancing area.
These two really lucked out with some beautiful weather and were gracious enough to give me lots of time for portraits down by the water and at Columbus Park. You’ve all heard me say that bridal party and bride and groom portraits are some of my favorite parts of the day and I tend to geek out on portraits and bouquet shots if people give me the time!
I could go on and on about how much I love this couple and how much fun I had photographing their wedding but instead I’ll just leave you with these sneak peeks! Lauren and Numan: thank you SO much for allowing me to capture and preserve your amazing wedding day! You two are a blast to hang out with and I hope we get to hang out again soon. Enjoy St. Lucia!
