When I first met Michelle and Luke they were coming off of a busy schedule (he’s getting his MBA and she’s in residency) and travel and profusely apologized for their exhaustion. The funny thing was they were two of the more warm, bubbly and enthusiastic people I’ve ever met DESPITE their weariness and burn out. I felt no different when I met them again for the second time at their Newport engagement session and am so happy to be working with such kind and energetic people.
Michelle and Luke are from the D.C. area but have been living in providence for the past few years while Michelle completes her residency and Luke works remotely and wraps up an MBA program. They are bright, ambitious…and somehow so sweet and down to earth. It worked out perfectly that Ben and I are living in Boston for the summer and that I was able to make the short drive to beautiful Newport, RI for their engagement session at Salve Regina, the Cliff Walk and the Newport Beaches. Every single place we went to shoot photos was absolutely beautiful and so unique. Anytime I get to shoot near water or architecture that is reminiscent of Europe I’m a happy person!
Despite the fact that it was lightly drizzling almost the entire session, neither of them complained once about getting wet, their hair getting messed up or sand on their clothes when I set them up for a shot in the sand dunes 🙂 I love working with couples who trust me and are a little bit adventurous!
Michelle and Luke are getting married next summer in D.C. at the Westin in Georgetown and I cannot wait to see these two sweet people tie the knot.
