Sarah and Ryan are two of my favorites! From the first time I met them at their downtown Austin apartment for their engagement session in their home and rooftop overlooking the city I feel in love with their energy, sweet spirits and kindness. They are so easy to be around and their love for each other and their family is palpable from the first few minutes you spend with them.
I had eagerly been awaiting their fall Barr Mansion wedding in East Austin, and it definitely did not disappoint between the stunning bridesmaids dresses, flowers by STEM and the unique and jaw dropping wedding dress Sarah chose by Berta (seriously how stunning does she look in it?!).
Luckily the rain held off for their wedding day…but the grounds were still so wet that the outdoor ceremony was relocated to the Barr Mansion ballroom. An excellent example of making lemonade out of lemons as their indoor Plan B ceremony was STUNNING and magical between the candlelight, floor to ceiling glass windows, string quartet and luscious greenery that covered the walls.
The ceremony itself was so sweet and Ryan and Sarah incorporated both of their girls into it by honoring them with special necklaces.
After the ceremony it was on to cocktail hour and a beautiful reception inside the glass ballroom with farm to table food served up by Barr Mansion, special dances and an awesome party courtesy of ATX DJ.
The entire day went flawlessly and on schedule thanks to wonderful planning by Katie from Pearl Events Austin whose awesome attitude and attention to detail made by job super easy 🙂
Ryan and Sarah – you are such wonderful and beautiful people both inside and out and it was a joy and honor to photograph your wedding! I hope you’re having a wonderful time in California and can’t wait to share more photos from your wedding day!
